Ticket Movements Configuration
First, navigate to Admin > Sales Operations > Ticket Movements. In this menu, you will find advanced options to be able o restrict ticket movements. For more information about the base move feature and how to use it, go to our Move article.
The options described in this article will apply to both Restricted and Unrestricted Move.
Time Restrictions
Controls how close to departure a ticket can be moved, and which candidate trips are shown in the Move UI.
- Prevent ticket being moved: blocks movement around departure based on the configured cutoff.
- New trip time restriction: hides candidate trips outside the configured lower/upper bounds.
Repeated movements
Defines how many times a ticket can be moved.
- Without authorization: max movements before additional permission is needed.
- With authorization: hard cap even when delegated authorization is available.
Amenity Group Restrictions
Restricts which amenity groups are valid movement targets.
- When enabled, each origin amenity group must have allowed destination groups configured.
- Disabled amenity groups can still appear for historical consistency, but movement is restricted by your mapping.
Boarding Restrictions
Settings to prevent tickets from being moved when passengers have begun boarding the vehicle.
Boarding is defined as the event that occurs when the first ticket is scanned or redeemed.
You may configure these settings to prevent a ticket from being moved when boarding has started:
- On the original manifest.
- On the destination manifest.
Additionally, boarding can be considered to start when the passengers start to board the vehicle:
- At any station from the manifest
- At the station where the ticket departs from
Capacity Restrictions
Blocks movement when fare-specific capacity limits are exceeded in the target trip.
Manifest Restrictions
Controls which manifest statuses can receive moved tickets.
- Published is always allowed.
- You can additionally allow: planned, paused, canceled, and operations.
Other Restrictions
General movement behavior switches:
- Prevent movements after printing
- Prevent seatmap optimization movements with different seat class or fees
- Show expired schedules in the ticket move interface
- When enabled, Move schedule dropdowns and candidate schedules are limited to active schedules.
- This applies to movement schedule selection behavior in the Move flow.
Ticket Attributes
Defines what is allowed on tickets after they were moved:
- Prevent moved tickets from being changed
- Prevent moved tickets from being cancelled
Notifications
Controls move notifications:
- SMS notifications
- Email notifications
- Use confirmation recipient for notifications
