Move
Restricted move
When moving a ticket, you can only transfer it to a different time, and it has to remain within the same Origin and Destination. Move is more of an admin function (IROPs), since there are less restrictions than with a regular change. Also, there are no fees associated with the Move function.
The move feature is only available for the Main Backend account, it is not enabled for Network Agencies.
By selecting a ticket to move, you can move them to schedules in the future or even to schedules in the past including expired schedules.
How to move a ticket
Go to ticket details page, click on the Move ticket button located on the right hand side.
Choose the schedule and date in the 'Filters' section, and then click 'Apply filters'.Please remember that you can only move the ticket to the schedule which has the same O&D as the original ticket, and the fare type cannot be modified either.** >
The available schedule will show on the bottom, select it and click Move.
After successfully moving the ticket, you will automatically be directed to the ticket details page where the new manifest date will be shown, with the Moved tag displayed in red. Notice that the ticket number has not changed.
There will also be a note indicating the scheduleId from which the original ticket was moved. A note will also appear in the new manifest where the ticket was moved to, and in the original manifest from the ticket as well.
A single ticket can be moved several times. Expired tickets can be moved.
Unrestricted move
If you need to Move tickets to a different O&D with no fees or extra charges, you can use the Unrestricted Move function. To enable it, please contact Betterez Support.
Go to ticket details page, click on the Move ticket button located on the right hand side.
Then, select the Unrestricted move tab under the ticket details.
You can now select the new origin, destination, and date for the ticket. Please note the list of available stations depends on the original Product Line under which the ticket was purchased, and the fare type cannot be modified.
After you choose them, click on Find trips, and a list of available trips will be shown, similar to the sales flow. You can click on the Details on the right to see information about each trip. Select one and click Move.
You will be taken to the new ticket. In the case of Unrestricted move a new ticket (with a new ID) is created. The way to identify this was an IROP is by checking the payment method, which will be irop_movement.
The original ticket will be set to status "expired"
Connection trips
You can also perform an Unrestricted move over a leg of a connection trip. For example, we have a Ticket from Lima Station > Cusco Station > Juliaca Station.
We decide to Move the first leg to a new one. The process is the same as a direct trip. In this specific case, there is a seatmap assigned to the "Lima" to "Ica" trip, so you have to pick the new seat on the right side of the screen.
The new ticket will be created with an irop_movement type of payment, same as before.
However, the other original ticket (Cusco > Juliaca) will still be available. We suggest cancelling this one if possible with a 100% penalty or redeem it.
In the case where transaction has one Customer but the ticket has a different passenger (ex: customer buys a ticket for a relative) if you change or move this ticket using a regular move, the Customer and Passenger will remain as in the original transaction. But if the ticket is moved using unrestrictive move, the resulting transaction will create a new customer with the passenger information provided. Example. Customer A with email a@a.com purchases a ticket for Passenger B with email b@b.com. If this ticket is moved using the unrestrictive move it actually creates a new customer with the Passenger B information. The new transaction will have then Passenger B both as customer of this transaction and passengerfor the ticket. So for unrestrictive move if customer and passengers are not the same, it actually creates a new customer with the passenger information.
Multiple ticket transactions and companions
For multiple ticket purchases, when moving any of them, the move page will show you the other tickets related to that transaction (Bulk Move).
You won't be able to move a ticket that needs a companion. The system will require you to move a companion as well.
Once you select the other tickets (which include a companion) you will be able to proceed. You can select all 3 seats at the same time in the right side of the screen. In the Passenger detail table you will be able to confirm the corresponding seats to each passenger.
Bulk Move/Bulk Wizard
This feature allows to move all the tickets from a manifest to another one, without doing it one by one.
