Parcel scanning work flow
The logistics tracking system that provides visibility of parcels as they move through the delivery process. From receiving the parcel through final delivery, this system lets you visualize the statuses at every step.
Scanning tracking statuses:
- Received
- In transit
- Ready for pickup
- Delivered
- Not claimed
- First, make sure to have the correct configuration for Scanning: Setting up the account
Parcel Scanning Work Flow
- Upon a successful payment of the parcel transaction (for how to create a parcel transaction please refer to Parcel booking flow), there will be an auto generated 'Received' status under the Tracking status field and Scan details table.
- Once the barcode on the parcel waybill has been scanned, the tracking status will update to 'In transit' in the Betterez Backoffice App. The 'In transit' status will also be updated under the 'Scan details' table every time the label gets scanned. Your staff can change the parcel status by clicking the button under the 'Actions' field.
- When the parcel arrives at the processing office, the status can be changed to 'Ready for pick up' by clicking the button under the 'Actions' field. It also can be reverted to 'In transit' if needed as both statuses can be toggled by the back office staff.
- When a customer picks up the parcel or it has been delivered, the 'Delivered' status can be updated by simply clicking the 'Delivered' button located just under the 'Actions' field by the back office staff.
Users can easily tell what their current parcel status is by checking the parcel details. All these statuses can be reversed from the Betterez BackOffice App except the 'Received' status.
If the parcel hasn’t been claimed by the customer in a estimated period of time, there is the option to mark the parcel as "Not claimed"
The parcel scan history can also be found under 'Intelligence' - 'Parcel Scans' with the ability to filter the scan date, users, status, product, origin and destination.
