Domains
In order to view your domain as well as to view, add or remove subdomains navigate to Admin > Domains.
Subdomains
A subdomain is a custom part of your websales url. The websales application will be available in all these subdomains.
You can also configure products and payments to be only available in certain subdomains.
Default subdomain
The first subdomain in the list is the default subdomain. This subdomain can't be removed
Add subdomain
You can add new subdomains by clicking the button add new.
You will then be redirected to the add subdomain page where you will be able to input a custom subdomain name.
The system will then validate that the input is a valid subdomain.
A valid subdomain consists of a minimum of two and a maximum of 63 characters. All letters from a to z, all numbers from 0 to 9 and a hyphen (-) are possible. Cannot start or end with a hyphen (-).
After adding the subdomain you need to save the changes by clicking on the SAVE button.
If the subdomain is accepted, the system will redirect you to the subdomain list.
By doing this, a new subdomain will be added to the DNS server and your websales application will be available under this new subdomain.
Remove subdomain
In order to remove a subdomain you can click on the X button next to the subdomain you want to delete.
It will give you a warning message for you to reconfirm you indeed want to delete the subdomain. Confirm the operation by clicking on delete button.
If you delete a subdomain it will be removed from the DNS server and from all payments and products.
In this step you can also cancel this operation by clicking cancel in the confirmation message and the subdomain won't be deleted.
Alert message
If working in the sandbox environment when you go to Admin > Domains you will see an alert advising you that you aren't in a production environment.
You can still continue the steps by clicking in Add new and you can add or remove subdomains to get familiar with the feature, but they will not work. This only works in the production environment.
Assign products to your domains / subdomains
You can configure products to be only available in certain subdomains.
If you associate one or more subdomains to the product, the product will be only available on websales with that subdomain.
Navigate to Admin > Products.
Once here, search the product that you want to assign to one or more subdomains and edit it by clicking on the name of the product.
Navigate to the subdomains section. This section will be available only if you have one or more subdomains in addition to the default one.
Here you can add or remove available subdomains for this product.
- Add a subdomain to this product by selecting it in the selector and clicking the + (plus) button.
- Remove a subdomain from this product by clicking in the X (delete) button next to the subdomain
By default or if you remove all the subdomains from this product then it will be available in ALL subdomains.
You need to save the product in order for these changes to take effect by clicking the SAVE button at the end of the edit product page.
Purchase confirmation email
When purchasing a product from reservation (where the confirmation email has a link to change the ticket) or product that requires redeeming an item (such as bundle or flexpass), the link in the confirmation email will point to the first url that is available for that product. Even if it is available for All Domains or for several domains such as Domain 1 and Domain 2 it will always link to the Domain 1.
In the case of purchasing several products the link in the confirmation email will point to the url that all purchased products have in common.
The confirmation email link will never point to a url where the product is not available.
Assign Payment Providers to Domains
You can configure certain payments to be available only in certain subdomains.
If you associate one or more subdomains to the payment, the payment will be only available on websales with that subdomain.
