New setting: Accept boardings with equal or lesser price:

This setting applies for products that have point to point tables defined; it will compare the base price of the scanned ticket with the possible price of a trip boarding in the scanning station.

Supported products: Reservations, Open Tickets, Flex Passes, External Passes and Redeemable Items.

What's new in version 7.11.4?

We added Spanish to the list of supported languages. Now users can use the app either in English, French or Spanish.

Some enhancements in the purchase flow to speed up the workflow.

  • Fares will have the default quantity already pre-selected. (Defauly quantity for fare can be configured in back-office)
  • If there are companion validation error, the app will tell the user about that. (Requires companion validation & Requires companion validation errors can be configured in back-office).
  • Max quantity for fare: Now the app will take care preventing the user for selling a number of tickets that exceed the max quantity allowed in a transaction.

Also we fixed a bug affecting the purchase flow when fares have special characters.

If you find the app not working after upgrading to this version in particular, please delete all app data before continue using it, since you may be experiencing some problems related to data inconsistency. To do so, please go to: Phone Settings --> Apps --> btrz-scanning-app --> Storage --> press "Clear Cache" && "Clear Data". Keep in mind that uninstalling the app does not guarantee that the data is deleted, thus we recomend to delete data by hand.

What's new in version 7.10.0?

What's new in version 7.9.0?

Two new settings:

  • Display usages left on Flex Passes
  • Display usages left on Open Tickets

Both settings will be shown (if enabled) on a normal dialog and will auto dismiss. If the setting "show success dialog on successful scan" is also enabled, then the two previous are shown inside the green confirmation dialog.

For Open Tickets the app was already showing the usages left by default, but now it can be disabled if desired.

What's new in version 7.7.0?

Changes to auto-select station (based on GPS).

Starting with this version when the app detects the driver is near a different station than the one selected on the app, then it will show a message to the user telling that is going to change the selected station. The message will dissapear after a couple of seconds and the user has the option to cancel the change during that period.

Also if "Open menu when auto select station" setting is enabled, everytime the app changes the station automatically it will open the station options menu.

What's new in version 7.6.0?

In this version we added 2 features:

  • scan with sounds: That is, one sound for successful scan and another sound for scan results which requires driver's attention (errors & warnings).
  • show success dialog on successful scan

Both these new features can be enabled or disabled from the settings screen in the mobile app. These settings are at device level.

We also modified the look & feel of the errors and warnings so it is clearer to the user when they appear.

New UI flow & new Screens

From this version, after log in, the user will have the following flow:

  • Select trip (in the Select Trips Page)
  • Select station to scan (in the Current Trip page)

The Select trip page has been refactored to empathize the list itself.

Current Trip

The Current trip page is a brand new page which is a merge between the pages previously called Select station and Trip summary (both has been removed).

From this page, the user will see the current manifest data and will be able to switch stations to scan. This data can be manually updated by pull and refresh action. It also will update automatically when using an external scanner.

If configured, the app will auto select an station based on GPS location if there is a match. This behaviour was alredy implemented in the old Select station page.
