Products - flexpass

In line with our increasing suite of products, Betterez has now created a Flex pass product. Very similar to the previous Monthly pass, as its name implies, the flex pass is a little more "flexible". Now, the flex pass can be configured and sold to last for longer or shorter durations and with enhanced security features.

The Flexpass family of products allows you sell passes configured for different lengths of times and for use from point to point or network-wide. The sub products to sell, pricing and taxing schema can vary by channel based on the configuration(s) you select.

Scanner account settings

This option will allow to redeem tickets of all the products associated with a given trip. For example, if we have a reservation product associated to a given trip and we also have a ticket product associated to it then we will be able to redeem the tickets related to the ticket product.

'Attach to ticket' Paid in item

What we need now is to have an item associate to that paid in product. If we go to Admin -> Items and edit one of them, we'll notice the Type field will show the different options of Paid in products. We need to choose one of them. But that's not the only setting required, since we need to turn the Attach to Ticket flag ON and doing so we'll have the chance to set a Product related from a list of Reservation products in order to get it working along the simplified sales flow:

Pricing - parcel zones

Select a product to associate this zone to a parcel product. Make sure is the correct product. This combo box will show all products of the parcel family, regardless of the pricing schema configured in the product. This allows you to create a parcel zone for a product configured with a different pricing schema and change the pricing schema of the product once all the prices are created.

Print templates

You can set your print templates in the main accound and assign them to your agencies for them to use. Or in order words give the access (like you do with products, fares, etc...) to the print template you want them to use.

Network / Agencies

When you log in to your new agency account for the first time, the opening page will say "New Shift" and direct you to select a location. The drop down menu will be empty and you will see a yellow warning banner telling you to create a station. You will need to create a station in the agency account which will only be used as the location for the shift of the agency and is not related to your products or routes in any way.

  • The fare type must be associated to one (or more) products by clicking on the product name to select the product. If the fare type is set as Base Fare, the products that already have a base fare type won't be available to be selected.

Creating a fare class

Customers using Journey Pricing or Market Pricing as pricing schema must declare at least on fare class in order to show results in the trip search. Accounts with products using the Point to Point pricing type can not use fare classes.

Always apply taxes to fees When enabled, this will override the taxable setting of the cancel fees and products in a transaction, to always apply any corresponding taxes to the cancel fees (only applicable to reservation and parcel products)

Cancellation fees apply to ALL transaction fees. Example: If a cancellation fee is linked to a product it will apply to the ticket and the transaction fee in that transaction. If it is not linked to a product it will not apply to the ticket of a different product but it will still apply to the transaction fee. Transaction fees are not linked to products so all cancellation fees in the account will apply to transaction fees.

In the insurance lists at the top right if you can create insurances and there aren't insurances for all the parcel products you will see an Add new button.

Multicurrency solution

The Betterez Reservation and Ticketing Management Platform now allows you to sell and display all of your products in different currencies. Once this feature is enabled in your account from the back-end, you can begin the configuration of our Multicurrency Solution in your account.

Keep in mind that every product or ticket may have different configurations, and refund eligibility depends on how you set up your account. For products that use fares, the rule editor shows a checklist of fare types to exclude from this rule when Fare is set to all types (the “all fares” option). Check any fare types that must not receive this rule’s discount or price override; leave every box unchecked to allow all types. If you choose a single fare in the Fare dropdown, this section is disabled and any previous exclusions are cleared—the rule already targets one fare only.
