Paid in item create

Creating and using an Attach-To-Ticket paid-in item follows the same process as creating Paid an item product and making it available for sale. There is, however, one small difference as it pertains to the purchase flow of a reservation product, since users will have the chance to choose it or not at the end of the new sales flow

'Attach to ticket' Paid in item

What we need now is to have an item associate to that paid in product. If we go to Admin -> Items and edit one of them, we'll notice the Type field will show the different options of Paid in products. We need to choose one of them. But that's not the only setting required, since we need to turn the Attach to Ticket flag ON and doing so we'll have the chance to set a Product related from a list of Reservation products in order to get it working along the simplified sales flow:

Routes

In order to create a route, you must have first create some stations that you want to use as the stops in your route. For Betterez, a Route is any collection of stations that flow in the same direction. With that definition in mind, in order to sell a round trip, you must create and opposite route, or using that same collection of stations, have them flow in the opposite direction.

Passengers copy down function

When continuing through the Betterez purchase flow and upon arriving to the Passenger details screen, the user will have the option to use the Copy information button to copy down the information of the first passenger to the rest of the passengers with tickets in the transaction.

Schedules

Time: Enter the schedule departure time in 24 hour clock, ex. 18:30 or 02:25. All schedule times will be based on the account time zone and not the station time zone. Schedule times need to be offset considering the difference between the account timezone and the actual time for the schedule in the local time zone for it to show the correct time in the booking flow.

Reconciliation formula

For majority of the tickets sold, the work flow is straight forward: A ticket is generated when a transaction is successful. Paid transaction total equals paid ticket amount. Similarly when a gift certificate or a paid in item is created, a paid transaction is generated, and the transaction total equals to the amount paid for the gift certificate.

Filter trips

If you edit an existing station's name, the change will flow through to all the Routes, Schedules, and Fares already set up. Editing a Station name will also reset the Filtered Trips. This means that all Filtered Trips will show up both in the Backoffice and Web Sales, which is why we recommend not changing a Station name after trips have been filtered out.

Products families

  • warning Once a product is created you could modify its name and it will populate to the booking flow, schedules, etc, and it will still work, since its ID will remain the same. The only "issue" to notice is that it will not change in the reports. The reports will still show the original name with which the product was created but it can still be filtered by the its ID which does not change.
