Payments report

The Payments report allows to view information related to any transactions done through any of your sales channels. The way the information is displayed makes it easier to identify any group of transactions that may have some issue with the payments, or get information by shift location to be able to evaluate specific agencies.

Multicurrency payment

Once the Multicurrency solution has been configured at the [account] level, the next step is to configure all of the payment methods for which you would like to receive payments in another currency other than the base currency of the account.

Refund payment proration tickets

This feature allows an operator to refund a ticket while honoring the same payment methods that were used to pay for it when refunding the ticket. This would also include the scenario that a ticket was changed several times. In such a scenario, the refund will honor all the payments methods used in a ticket's change history.

Payments online

Navigate to Admin -> Payments and select Payments. Administrators can choose which payment methods are available.

Payments pay on accounts

Once completed and uploaded, you can use this new form of payment for any new transaction. When on the payment page, simply select Pay on Account from the list of options, and then a search field will appear. Enter 2 characters and you'll see the rows populate. Select one, enter the appropriate authorization#, and finalize the payment.

Proration

When the you have the prorate option enabled, the amount to be refunded will be prorated among all the payment types used in the ticket and in previous tickets in cases where the ticket was changed.

Enabling this feature does not in of itself prevent fraudulent purchases, in fact, in most cases credit card issuers will still accept payments, even if there is no match.

Changing a ticket

When you get to the payment step, the Shopping Cart page will show the purchase details with the ticket price, fees (if they apply), and the change credit listed.

Transaction report

The Transactions Report lets you access a great deal of useful information pertaining to the financial transactions that have been done through all of your sales channels, using any payment method. This also includes the use of redeemable items when creating a ticket.

Once in the Transaction Summary report page, you can filter the data by Payment type, Agency, date, Authentication code, or Shift Location. Once you select the data you would like to display, click on the "Apply Filters" button to display the data.

Shopping cart

Notice the shopping cart icon in the image below - this will appear on the webpage after the user selects at least one ticket, and provides their name and e-mail. Users can click the cart to get a view of the list of purchased fares, and move onward to the payment webpage. Alternatively, customers can also click the 'Continue Shopping' button which will redirect them to the reservations webpage.

Multicurrency display

Once these options have been enabled, a user selling from the Toronto shift location will be able to drop down a menu in the UI to determine in which currency he would like the trip results to appear and later use these same currency options to complete the payment.

Items report

Once in the Items report page, you will see there are a variety of filters to select the data that you are interested in seeing. As shown below, some of the filtering options available include filtering by Item type (paid-in/paid-out), Shift Location, payment status and date range from purchase or Manifest date. Once you select the data you would like to display, click on the "Apply Filters" button to display the data.

Parcel report

This report shows information about any Parcels. This can include parcels in paid, waiting for payment, canceled and All status as well as ticket changes. Since the system allows to have several policies for these operations, this report will show the details of each parcel and the total amount of each of them.

Promotions report

Once in the Promos report page, you will see there are a variety of filters to select the data that you are interested in seeing. As shown below, the filtering options available include filtering by Product, Promo name, ticket date, creation date, payment status, and whether it has been redeemed already. Once you select the data you would like to display, click on the "Apply Filters" button to display the data.

Refunds report

Once in the refunds report page, you will see there are a variety of filters to select the data that you are interested in seeing. As shown below, the filtering options available include filtering by payment type, refund type, date created, product, brand, shift location or Original Purchase Shift Location. Once you select the data you would like to display, click on the "Apply Filters" button to display the data.

Overrides report

In any of the tabs you can select from a variety of filters to select the data that you are interested in seeing. As shown below, the filtering options available include filtering by Product, payment status, ticket creation date, or ticket update date. Once you select the data you would like to display, click on the "Apply Filters" button to display the data.

Create New Customer

A new customer is automatically created every time there is a unique combination of name and email at the time a customer purchases a ticket and it picks the information of the payment screen. The customer wont be the passenger (the person travelling) but the person actually paying for the tickets. In most cases this is the same person but it can change when a person is purchasing a ticket for another person or when there are more than one passengers in one transaction.

As shown below, some of the filtering options available include filtering by product, payment status, date range from purchase, ticket date, or updates, and tickets belonging to a certain schedule or route. Custom fields

Once created, the new custom field will appear in the final window of the checkout process, right before the payment is finalized. For example, in the image below you can see a a customer field to collect information about how the customer heard of the service.

Parcel scanning work flow

  • Upon a successful payment of the parcel transaction (for how to create a parcel transaction please refer to Parcel booking flow), there will be an auto generated 'Received' status under the Tracking status field and Scan details table.

Products create gift certificate

Finally, navigate to Admin - > Payments and ensure that gift_certificate is enabled as a payment provider. This feature allows you to turn Gift Certificates on or off.

Deep linking

For instance if you'd like to up-sell a holiday trip running on December 24, 2017, you can get a custom URL from the Betterez websales page - with origin, destination, travel date and fare type pre-selected - and post it directly on your website, so that all the customer has to do is select the trip that's right for them then enter their name, email and payment information to complete the purchase.

The shift summary will show a summary of payments and variances. (Variances are calculated by the amount of "depositable" payments minus the total amount in the "deposits").

Search box

You can search Transactions by the authorization code or the reference number of one of the payments in the transaction as well. To do so use the 'ac:' or 'rn:' prefix to indicate what you are trying to search for.
