Journey pricing is a pricing schema used to set special prices for specific O&D’s, that require dynamism using the different parameters that the configuration offers.

In this scenario, we have Market Pricing product that works with modifiers and fare tables according to seat class

To create and/or update rules of journey pricing, you have two different ways of doing it:

Navigate to admin>pricing>zone prices.

Navigate to admin>pricing>parcel zones.

It is a pricing scheme that sets prices from different origins to destinations configured on a route. It does not require greater dynamism in its prices, and can be classified by seat classes, fare classes and effective dates.

Betterez offers three possible pricing schemas for products of the reservation family, Point to point, Journey and Market pricing.

The Flexpass family of products allows you sell passes configured for different lengths of times and for use from point to point or network-wide. The sub products to sell, pricing and taxing schema can vary by channel based on the configuration(s) you select.

The use of fare classes are a feature only available for accounts with products that are using the Journey Pricing pricing schema. Customers using this pricing type must declare at least on fare class in order to show results in the trip search. Accounts with products using the Point to Point pricing type can not use fare classes.

The Betterez platform offers three distinct types of pricing schema for the that can be applied to a (reservation) product:

Accumulating and redeeming loyalty points is something that is managed at the level of Pricing records. For every journey pricing rule/Market pricing modifier that is entered, there are two parameters related to loyalty.

Remove pricing from all fare tables that include the station you want to remove.

Finally, your schedule will not be found in the trip results if there is no price in the Fare Table. If you are going to use _Point to Point pricing method, you can set pricing right here in the Fare table section.

It is important to always take into consideration if your current pricing applies to Busbud. The same should be consider for future price modifications.

If your route is linked to a product that has Journey Pricing, you will see a section for Proration Table.

Many companies have pricing agreements with different types of public and/or private organizations ensuring that their members and/or employees will receive special pricing, often at a discuont from the normal fare.

Pricing or extra fees can be managed in several ways. You can define specific pricing for each "Service type", one of them can be pricing for the pay on delivery method. For parcel pricing methods, please check Parcel Zones or Zone prices.

For Market pricing:

The same differences in the purchase flow demonstrated in backoffice sales channels will present themselves in the websales sales flow as it pertains to point to point pricing (ability to select origin and destination) and network-wide pricing (select dates only without requirement to select origin or destination).

Navigate to Operations -> Stations and select the station for which you would like to display pricing and accept currencies in a currency other than the base currency of the account.

To remove a station from trips searches you need to make sure is not used in any pricing schema.

Seat classes can be used to differentiate the type of seats on a seat-map and provide different prices at the seat level. Once created you can assign a seat class to a seat on the seat-map editor. You can control prices in the Pricing section.

The fares mapping allows you to select the fares that will be equivalent between the consumer and the provider when both accounts use journey pricing. It is possible to select more than one.

The service will now use your fare tables and pricing rules to calculate the price of each trip. If a trip does not have a price, it will be removed.

During the booking flow promotions need to be entered manually. This is perfect for websales where you want to make sure people enter promo codes they are aware off. Sometimes in backoffice can be cumbersome, specially if you use promo codes to provide preferential pricing to certain passengers.

• Network wide: This can be set in the pricing type of the product and for the scanner will mean if the passenger can get into the bus on any station or not.
