In order to configure a paid-in item, go to Admin > Items and select + Add New Item to arrive at the New Item screen to begin the configuration.

A Paid in product is useful for an operator selling ancillary items such as bikes rack service, extra luggage, food items, beverages, etc.

When a bundle is purchased, the client will always receive a ticket confirmation that will have all of the redeemable item codes on the pdf that arrives to the client email. The number of codes on the pdf depend on how the bundle is configured for sale.

What we need now is to have an item associate to that paid in product. If we go to Admin -> Items and edit one of them, we'll notice the Type field will show the different options of Paid in products. We need to choose one of them. But that's not the only setting required, since we need to choose Percentage as the Item value type. When the item type is Percentage, we are forced to relate the item to a Reservation product in order to get it working along the simplified sales flow. Reservation products will be listed under Product field:

By default, taxes (if configured) will be calculated on top of the prices for trips or items. The taxes will not be displayed in the trip results and they will be displayed itemized in the shopping cart before the purchase is finalized.

Open return reservations, are a variation of the product that allow the departure part of a trip to be a firm reservation (with a given day and trip) and the return portion of it is a redeemable item that can be converted in a proper reservation at a later day.

The system will display an error with the legend :" Some of the selected items are invalid or missing” when a cancellation can not be made because of cuttoff time for refund has expired.
