Fees create

Cancellation fees apply to ALL transaction fees. Example: If a cancellation fee is linked to a product it will apply to the ticket and the transaction fee in that transaction. If it is not linked to a product it will not apply to the ticket of a different product but it will still apply to the transaction fee. Transaction fees are not linked to products so all cancellation fees in the account will apply to transaction fees.

Reconciliation formula

For tickets that were cancelled, similar to the changed tickets, the original transactions and tickets remain the same; a new transaction is created to record the cancellation. But what differs is that there will be no tickets created, instead, a refund will be created, if there a fee setup for cancellations, a transaction fee record will be created too. Taking a ticket worth $10 for example, and fee for cancellation is $1 for example, the system will record a refund of 10, transaction fee of 1, and transaction of -9, so the formula will work as -10+1- (-9) =0

Payments online refunds

  • Using the search menu (magnifying glass at the top right) Locate the ticket or transaction that you want to refund, click the Cancel ticket button. Note that the user making the cancellation must have permissions to do this operation. Otherwise, the Cancel button won't be available.

The Overrides report is made for tracking the waived cancellation or change fees. It offers details on when and who did the override to provide better control on regular operations.

Creating fare types

  • If there are two "is companion" fare types travelling with one "requires companion" fare type, the system will permit the cancellation of one of the "is companion" fare types, but not both, without having to cancel the "requires compaion" fare type.
