Parcel fare type

  • For oversize packages, you can create another fare class. Follow the steps above except, when it comes to entering maximum dimensions, increase the weight limit and under 'Adjustment Type' drop-down list, choose '% percentage', '$ dollar' or 'override price', and enter the appropriate values. See an example below where 'override price' is selected. Note that for the '% percentage' option, the system will pull the route price from the appropriate zone table, and apply the overrage % to it.

Paid in item create

One thing to notice is when you set a paid-in item to be Attach to ticket, you won't be able to use it as an Apply-To-Station paid-in item since both options are mutually excluded. Once you turn the Attach to ticket flag ON, you have to choose a reservation product to relate to the current paid-in item. They could work either with value type "Amount" or "Percentage". A paid-in item set as Attach to ticket can be purchased as regular items with the chance to ask for an editable amount if required, but ONLY if their value type is "Amount". Otherwise, it won't appear as an option to a regular purchase at all.

Creating fare types

  • Global Adjustment: First you must select the adjustment type - % percentage, $ dollar, or override price. Then you must select the adjustment amount which can be a positive or negative number, or the actual override price. The minimum value will apply to each leg of a multi-leg trip. It will have no effect if an O & D exception is applied. Click the O & D exception link below to find out more.

Mandatory admin configuration

This type of pricing schema uses the concept of a base fare which is declared when configuring the fare type. The price of the base fare is then input into the fare table and all other fare types associated to the same product are configured as an adjustment (dollar $, percentage %, or override price) to the base fare. Ex. If the adult is the base fare for an O & D priced at $100, and the child fare represents a 50% adjustment to the base fare, the child fare will cost $50 for the same O & D.

Account preferences

Both the UP and NO CENTS round strategies should not be used when applying percentage discounts, fees or prices modifiers since this may result in some odd prices displaying in the cart. For example an article with a price of $9.99 after a discount or fee applied to itshown in the subtotal as $9.
